    Blizzard really wants the “Biggest MMO in the world” title for their game don’t they ? They are now preparing a Russian version of WoW which will be the fifth European language version of the game. They are going to have to do a lot of hard work to beat the colossus known as Maplestory if they want that MMO crown. Maplestory numbers are tremendous but are not really known because… well because its not an American game, and if its not AMERICAN it doesn’t count!

    G4’s website just added a new feature detailing “great failures” in several fields they think viewers might be interested in. One of those fields includes video games which eventually leads us to reaching the MMO side of this industry.     Blizzard joins the AMPTP and Broadway producers in being on the evil end of a workers strike. Carpenters Local 1506 are mad at Blizz for hiring independent contractors for their carpentry work, because of this they are now having a strike in front of the Universal Music Group offices in Santa Monica....

    Seagate has announced that their Maxtor Basics Personal Storage 3200 external hard drives are infected with a virus that steals passwords for online games and sends the info to some evil Chinese servers. Most of the games are Chinese BUT! (there is always a but) the one infected game that isn't Chinese just happens to be one of the most popular MMOs out there. That MMO is World of Warcraft of course.

    So if you have one of these drives from about August of 07 you might have an infected drive.

    The newest patch for the World of Warcraft came out and, like always, sparks are flying!
    Hunters got "buffed" so everyone is crying; the way Global Cooldown was changed also has everyone crying; Zul' Aman is on contested territory so everyone is crying, etc, etc, etc. Either people in WOW cry more than in other games, or there are so many people playing that game that there is always going to be some one crying one of the changes.

    Blizzard has added new information about one of the dungeons that will be included in the next expo to World of Warcraft. Utgarde Keep (do all evil dudes hang out in keeps?) is the home of the half-giant Vrykul. Think of the Vrykul as Beowulf times two, who have also tamed proto-dragons.
