You wanted to play as Aliens? Richard Garriot gives you the Chance
One of things I liked about Tabula Rasa was that you can only play as humans. The rich story really pumped me up, and explained how you are one of the few humans chosen to escape Earth after massive alien devastation and then are responsible for getting get some payback. The forum kiddies didn’t see this the same way I did and they complained and complained about adding some aliens species to be able to choose from and the folks behind TR finally gave in. Well they say in the Wired interview that aliens were always in the plan but the demand made them rush the time of implementation.
