December Special Task Force Report for FFXI
The only MMO, it seems, that is actually actively stomping the evils of gold farming just put out what is now its monthly report on their accomplishments. Since they began the usual amount of banned accounts were in the range of 7 to 8k but the Christmas holidays brought about their biggest catch yet. This time around they terminated a total of “around 12,460 PlayOnline accounts.” This is sort of a double edge sword in that they are taking out all these folks but… its sort of showing the number of players that they actually have, which in this case its going to end up being small. I wonder how many of the 9.6 million folks WOW has worldwide are made up of farmers and hackers.
