Total MMO
Reviewer got fired, allegedly, for reviewing

Much like TenTonHammer said, this has nothing to do with MMOs but it’s funny as hell so I decided to post it. Jeff Gerstmann, an executive editor at Gamespot, gave a mediocre review to Kane & Lynch: Dead Men. Eidos, the game's publisher, got mad and threatened to cancel all the advertising of that game in the Gamespot website. This apparently got the big wigs at Gamespot angry or something and Gersstmann got the boot.
My Questions:
To Eidos:
Did the advertising contract state that Gamespot HAD to give Kane & Lynch a good review?
Because if it didn’t… why are you guys flipping out? It’s a videogame review website, didn’t anyone at Eidos consider that the site might give a review that didn’t call K&L the greatest game since … what’s a good game? Um… since Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner: Raidou Kuzunoha vs. The Soulless Army?
To Gamespot:
What was the point in firing him?
What are the chances that some other reviewer would have given a similar review? Or one worse?
You folks have to either let your reviewers review, or start telling them what can they write about a game and what they cannot. The second choice will probably be the downfall of your site though.
