Turbine has just officially announced that the next content update for Lord of the Rings Online will be coming in October! Hopefully they are talking about this October which ends in about two weeks so... i guess this is coming out real soon right?

Some of the new content that Book 11: Defenders of Eriador will introduce is;

- Player housing!
I have never really cared for this but for some reason MMO players like to have it. I mean i also do stupid things like collecting pets and stuff but housing? There will be different styles of housing based on the four races in the game and you can further customize your crib with over 250 extra decorations!

- Month of the Lore-master/Minstrel.
The two classes will be reworked to try to iron out some of the weaknesses they currently have. With the adding New skills, new abilities, new pets, etc, etc.

And the biggest addition for the update!

-The Rift of Nûrz Ghâshu.
Better known as LoL LoTRO Lore. This is a new 12 man dungeon that brings in the infamous Balrog to Lord of the Rings Online, whether you like it or not Balrog Thaurlach is here to stay. Apparently he is in a "weakened state" which will sort of explain why a dozen folks can take out a thing of such power that one defeated one of the five wizards. In another moment of Lore LOL they are introducing the "Fire-Orcs" into this dungeon as well, they were specifically bred to have a different color orc in the game.
