Total MMO
The greatest MMO to be already took down it's first victim.

Perpetual Entertainment just announced that one of their MMOs currently in production has been put "on indefinite hold." God & Heroes: Rome Rising has officially become vaporware. And what was one of the reasons given for such a change? Star Trek Online. That's right! The MMO that will become a global sensation just destroyed the first roadblock in its climb to the top of the MMO mountain to become The MMO Titan! Perpetual is shifting its focus to Stark Trek Online because the game demmands that attention, Stark Trek Online cannot be denied! Oh and apparently the cash flow stopped as well. This was probably the main reason.
The ripples of this Titan making his first steps into the vast MMO landscape have also been felt by other MMOs. Mythic just took down the Warhammer Online Beta Test as well, but the reason for this wasn't the same as the reason Gods & Heroes' Beta was taken down. According to a post made by Mark Jacobs in the F13 forum, the shutdown was just to look at the "data" they have compiled so far from the testing to "act on what we got." Did you guys catch the keyword there? No? The keyword was "Data." Much like in Star Trek Nemesis the Enterprise crew are sending over their android to spy on the enemy and possibly destroy them.
It's too early to tell but the MMO wars are heading up, and there is a lot of good competition heading to the main stage.
