Total MMO
Auto Assault is heading to the chop shop.

It was recently announced in the Auto Assault Web site that the game will be closing down its services on Aug. 31. This will be the fourth (don’t quote me on this) actual MMO to be completely closed down in the history of MMO gaming.
Even though this has only happened a few times so far, it is truly a sad event when it does.
I say actual closing, because many of the other MMOs that have "died" in reality just end up providing their service in another manner, while on the other hand, Auto Assault's party is actually getting shut down like P.O.D. says ... what nothing?
This thing was No. 1 on first generation TRL for weeks! The one hosted by that zombie Carson Daly ... nothing still? ... Kids.
Out of the other three, I only remember two right now (this is why I said, "don’t quote me on this."), which are Asheron's Call 2 and another racing MMO called Motor City Online. All were closed down for the same basic reason of not having enough folks playing to continue business.
Isn't a bit strange that the two Racing MMOs released have both ended up closing down? What's up with that? It's as if people would rather drive in real life instead of in a virtual word. Isn't that weird?
